A Newcastle-based data centre is popping its corks after securing three new contracts in less than two months, sending the company well on the way to increasing turnover by another 20% in the next year.
ZebraHosts, located on Westgate Road has enjoyed a sustained period of growth recently, further strengthened by the acquisition of three significant accounts.
Guerilla Interactive, Smith’s Consulting and Manchester based Eagle Eye, have all joined Zebra’s growing client list.
The company, whose services include server hosting, collocation and consultancy boast one of the region’s most sophisticated purpose-built data storage facilities and a 24/7 technical support service; factors which have led to a growing client base, many of whom are located in the Newcastle area.
John Miller of Guerilla Interactive said, "Finding a company with the experience and hosting solutions on our doorstep was very reassuring and demonstrates the expertise now available in this region."
For Manchester based Eagle Eye, it was the server management service and advice available from Zebra which led them to choose a company 200 miles away.
The company currently house three servers with Zebra, an upgrade will lead to a further five being installed.
Said Andy Dumbell of Eagle Eye, "The company’s fast response time is crucial. Dealing with issues in a timely manner is imperative to our business and Zebra really deliver on this front, being located in Newcastle has never been an issue, the service offered is well above that of its competitors."
Zebra, which launched in 2002, has grown steadily since its formation, attracting customers of all sizes, many of whom have never used a similar service before.
Calum Bennet of Smiths Consulting said, Smiths are a consulting practice with a spread out workforce, we don’t have a bricks and mortar base so housing a server on-site was not practical, which is why we looked for a supplier who could provide host servers for us. Zebra could do the job, offered a very flexible service which was tailored to us, and more importantly I get to speak to someone I know each time."
Commenting on the acquisition of three new clients, Belinda Kent of ZebraHosts said, "It's fantastic to attract clients from our own business community like Smiths Consulting and Guerilla, who choose to work with us, not only because of our location but because of the effort we put into providing a personal service."
"We are committed to doing things differently, from de-jargonising the world of hosting, to providing simple, straightforward advice and always-there support. It sets us apart from the competition and attracting clients like Eagle Eye from Manchester, who choose us ahead of companies on their own doorstep, is a real endorsement."
ZebraHosts which offers services including server hosting, network planning and design, data management and storage, co-location and security consultancy, has been in business for five years and already boasts a client list including NECC, The Ambulance Service, Imass and Enigma Interactive
